Our Charter

The CAROLUS MAGNUS UNIVERSITY is an independent, private, coeducational, post-secondary institution of higher education that draws from the best tradition of the American educational system of liberal arts and sciences and the European scientific and professional knowledge supplemented by scientific and applied research and workplace accumulated expertise. It has the legal status of an open university dedicated to Adult Academic and Professional Education Programs. Its open status allows the use of flexible delivery methods that embrace current and valid methodologies of distance learning, on-line learning, blended learning, on campus (part-time and full-time) study, and recognition of prior studies and experience. In short, it embraces lifelong learning through flexible delivery.

The CAROLUS MAGNUS UNIVERSITY is admitted in the USA and registered in Brussels as the holding of an international network of academic cooperation with state universities to offer courses of higher education and confer degrees. Its denomination has been protected by registration at the EU Office for the Harmonization of the Single Market in Alicante/Spain.

The CAROLUS MAGNUS UNIVERSITY is recognized by the independent Accreditation Council (AEACAE) for the United States and Europe. The Academic Senate is formed by experienced professors, senior lecturers, expert scientists and professionals, business people, and government representatives.

The aim and purpose of the CAROLUS MAGNUS UNIVERSITY is to encourage all people of the world to take up higher education studies and research relevant to their environment and needs within the changing global framework.

The CAROLUS MAGNUS UNIVERSITY supports the validation of non-formal learning through work experience and vocational training of adults by mapping equivalency of competence and accreditation of vocational training providers. We aim to satisfy the need for free access to higher education, the dissemination of academic knowledge and the provision of appropriate resources and competitiveness to those that aspire success in their careers or business life.
